Beresford audio router. About 2 months old. Boxed and in as new condition. Allows the line level connection of 2 amps to 4 sources. It’s good but I bought an Townshend Allegri plus rendering this little beauty surplus to requirements.

£85 and I’ll include postage to anywhere in the U.K.

There was only the first post when I looked. The network is a bit slow at the moment. I'll remove my complaints.

What’s the point of this piece of kit? I mean, why would anyone want one? Are they a sort of passive preamp with the capacity to attach amps and swap them by flicking a switch? Why is there a special input marked mp3?

How does the sound compare with the Townshend Allegri?

Many people have loads of older equipment but their existing amp hasn't got enough inputs to allw connection of everything.
Other people have more than one amp in their system, but no practical way of switching the equipment connected to the input of one amp to the input of the other amp.
Then there are those who have more than one turntable and want to invest in just one good phono preamp.
There are no active components inside the TC-7240, so sound quality wise it can't be beaten. The Townshend Allegri is a preamp.
There is a special input marked mp3, because some people want to connect their phone etc via the headphone socket to their amplifier from time to time.

I’m selling this because I bought a Townsend Allegri +. I’ve upgraded my system and i think it’s very revealing now and swapping out the Townsend for this does not reveal a huge amount of difference. Laws of diminishing returns at play but this little Beresford is an absolute steal.
