Hi any one got any suggestions for posting a pair of Kudos speakers, 30 kg x 2 parcels from UK to Germany. Any idea of which courier you may be able to recomend. Thanks

We receive large 30kg parcels from Germany via UPS on a monthly basis without any problems.

We also send regularly to the States via UPS again without problem.

For daily UK and Europe work we use DPD - much cheaper but possibly get one issue a month ( from an average of 15 boxes per day). Not lost but box damage or difficulty with the delivery.

I regularly use UPS to send parcels but they are limited to 1 mtr x 1 mtr and £1000 insurance. For them to take larger and more expensive, you have to get a quote and it isn't cheap. Most carriers will not insure for more than £500.

I had a quote to send a pair of Sonus Faber Venere in the UK at £230 + VAT. On top of that, insurance is 2% + VAT and the full value of the pair must be added to each box, because if one is damaged or lost, you have to buy a pair.

Go through a broker such as Transglobal Express, they will give you prices and options for all the major couriers, and be much cheaper than going direct, I've sent speakers to China and a slate record deck to Australia without any mishaps, plus various bits to Europe, just pack them well and assuming you have the original packaging see if you can find even larger boxes to double box, white goods retailers are good sources of extra polystyrene and heavy duty boxes.
