Hi,

thank you for admitting me to this forum.
I am 66 years old and retired, therefore I now have a lot of time to listen to Music and to play with my system.
I started this hobby when I was 13 years young. Presently I use to listen mostly to classical music, but I still have
2000 Lps from my youth and probably quite the same amount of CDs. I attend often to live concerts, but I prefer
the acoustic music that I like to reproduce at home.
I became a little bit also a collector of Hifi stuff. Im my main system I have an Audio Tekne amplifier with Sato Horns
and Rehdéko speakers that I like very much. I have the chance to have a very big room of approx. 115 m2 for my Music.

I wish you all the best

Matthias

You would need 2 of them for the Apogees I guess. They are only baby Krells.

Yes it's true. I had the active filter. I must confess that I changed them with to beasts Class A amplifiers with 200 watts per channel but they also did not play like a single Mark Levinson ML23 who was really able to make them sing.

Welcome to AoS Matthias.

Rehdéko speakers are an interesting choice. What made you choose them to replace the Apogees?

Enjoy the forum

Between Apogees and Rehdéko there were many different systems and sometimes overlapping.
If I remember well I went from Apogees to a big YBA systems with Gala lead speakers and active multi amplification. Then I changed completely in various steps to Audio Tekne including a carbon block speaker with the Diatone singledriver. Contemporary I had Lowthers and started with Rehdéko. I presently have my nr. 4th and 5th a pair of 115 and a pair of 175. At the beginning I was not satisfied with my skills to make them play as I expected.

Hello Matthias. Welcome to AOS.

You have some interesting choices in equipment. Tell us what future plans if any you may have for your system.

There's plenty going on here and everybody is friendly, so just join in the chat.

Enjoy the forum,

Dear Geoff and friends
thank you for your welcome and appreciation. In my 50years career as Music lover and audiophile I had the chance to try a lot of different systems. Presently I am quite satisfied with the results and the Music I am listening to. I think I will buy again a B&W 801 to have a monitor for comparisons. My interest is more for the vintage and young timers speakers and amplifiers. From time to time I cannone resist and I add some to my small collection. Recently I bought again my amplifier and speakers I had when I was 14. I was quite surprised about the results. Did you ever try to do the same?
Have a nice day!

Yes I have tried to re-create my original system but no luck. I think all the component parts have long since gone to the tip.

Hi Neil your system is very nice! I often wish to have a simple system but I always tend to complicate it, whilst I have also a Braun System that I paid 250 euros and already plays in a wonderful manner. In this moment I am listening to a Kelvin Labs with the Rehdéko 115.
Wish you a nice afternoon
