Small floorstanders (34 inches high).

Lovely sound - is there an unmusical Italian speaker?
Look good, too.

3 way - tweet and mid on front panel, woofer fires downwards and exits between cabinet and plinth, nice compact design.

VGC, PWO.

Works well with grille covers on - and has obviously been used this way for a few years as the wood veneer has faded a bit (uniformly) and the veneer under the grille is darker. (see photos)

Collection (GL17 near Lydbrook or maybe LD6 near Rhayader) or meet up - No courier - I don't have boxes.

£250 or might do px/swapsies for something of interest to me.

Is there a gap between bottom of speaker and floor for bass output, can't quite see from photos?

Yup, here's a stock photo

It's pretty much the same design as this pic of a different Chario model ...

I have a pair of these , i plumb then in now and again instead of the FPS or Duevel speakers. Lovely speakers. I always forget how good they are... Good luck with the sale Jerry.

Hmm, yes, thanks for that, Dave.
They are very good, and small enough to tuck away - I won't be that upset if I end up keeping them! :eyebrows:
They'd make an enjoyable alternative to the rather more explicit and insistent presentation of the KEF R500 I have replaced them with.

I had a pair back in 2002. I loved them.
I would happily buy them if you weren't that far (267mi).
Guys, this is a great sub £1000 speaker at a fraction of its price. Give it a try.

They look very nice for the money Jerry - am I right on thinking the downward port will allow them to be placed quite close to back wall?

I've had a pair of these - excellent speakers and yes they work well close to a back wall, that's where I had mine.
The downward port works very effectively.

It's a downward firing driver as well as a port.
And yes, as Jules said they work fine near a boundary. That's where I have them.
And thanks for your comments, Naass!

This is so unfair, stop posting these:D, I'm so so tempted, had a pair of the standmount version of these, had the base port underneath but no driver there.

Please go away .

Much Wenlock.
Hmm, that's not really that far from Glos or Rhayader, you know. ;)
Coincidentally, the journey time and distance are almost identical!

Thanks, Dave.

Russ, above, was asking by PM about bass performance.
I'm not really a bass head, so if you'd care to give an unbiased opinion that would be fine! :)

If someone can bring these to the edge of North London I'll take them. Would pick up at Kegworth except I'm taking my Jordan TLs and won't have room to bring them back with both pairs. Unless someone wants to buy them for £300?

Alternative plan, I don't take my speakers to Kegworth and use these in my room. Have just listed them on the Wam will list here later.

I think so Jerry, I've just bought some QE XT40 speaker cable, to see if that tames the treble in my Ruark Talismans, I'm guessing it won't be enough, will be here by Thursday, so I'll know for sure then.

But a couple of folks expressing interest atm, so they'll probably sell soon.

If anyones wondering about how good these speakers are, then for me they better Epos es11, Naim credos, Spendor floorstanders (can't remember model A5 I think), and my last pair Ruark Talisman. I absolutely love them. The bass is the best I've heard, controlled and expressive. Everything else is great, smooth and musical. Easily the best £200 I've spent, an absolute bargain. Thanks Jerry and Lurch(for transportation).

Yes, excellent speakers, I'm glad you like them. :)

... btw, I think your signature needs updating. ;)
