Looking for suggestions for an optical DAC/amp/headphone amp to connect to TV. Reasonable quality and low cost. Will be using a pair of Wharfedale Diamonds with it plus low impedance phones.

Thanks

You would need an amp as well if you want to use those Wharfedale speakers.
DAC wise, I have a Stock Bushmaster MKII with the latest firmware that ticks all the other boxes you mentioned. Wait and see what other recommendations you get from other members though. There might be something even cheaper out there with a headphone amp.

Thanks, really hoping for a one box (small) solution, I have a couple of spare DACs though that could be pressed into service and hidden if needs be.

doesnt have a headphone amp but guess it could be used with a blutooth transmitter with optical in and blutooth headphones

Budget?Let's try for under a ton. But up to £150 if necessary.

Also don't need high power, would be happy with a d class. I've got everything I need as separates but want a simpler solution.

I have one of these https://www.denon.co.uk/uk/product/compactsystems/minimicro/dm39dab (player only not speakers).

I bought it when I came back to the UK and used it for a month or so whilst I was waiting for my shipping container to arrive with my main hifi. It has been in the cupboard since then and is in "as new" condition. I have the original box and all accessories (e.g. remote control and ribbon antennae)

I was very pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. It has an optical input which should work with your tv. It also has a usb slot and can play back mp3 files. In fact, it is ideal as a multimedia amp with good quality cd player and DAB/FM tuner. The headphone output is decent quality.

I think 95 quid would be a fair price plus shipping at cost
