Hey all,
I have decided to get out of the vinyl game so I am selling my setup.
Denon DP-62L Turntable & DL-A100 Cartridge - £350
The turntable was new to me around a year ago. The fuse had blown and needed fixing and I replaced the captive cables with a pair of Van Den Hul Integration Hybrid interconnects (cost £170 in bought new). I melted a very tiny bit of the outer sleeve when soldering them in which obviously doesn’t effect them but thought I would mention it - you can see it in the pictures. I polished the lid and it looks pretty good. There is still a small scratch which I am sure could be polished out but I gave up when it looked good enough. There are also very small cracks near the hinges. The turntable functions perfectly and keeps perfect speed. The auto lift also works smoothly and perfectly. The stop button is a little ‘looser’ than the other buttons which seem firmer but all work perfectly. A couple of times the arm hasn’t lift immediately after a cold start but pressings the lift button lifted it. Otherwise it has functioned perfectly since I have had it. I was due to take it to Phonomac on this forum to get re-capped and serviced. Although it works perfectly I’d recommend doing this so it lasts another 30 or so years :D
The DL-A100 Cartridge 100th Anniversary moving coil cartridge was bought new by me just over a year ago and has had low to moderate usage.
Both the turntable and cartridge sound beautiful, especially with the below HA-500!
Turntable is collection only.
Denon DA-500 Head Amp - £150
Fantastic head app for moving coil cartridges. Has been recapped and had it’s power supply rebuilt by Phonomac and sounds Fantastic.
Prefer collection but probably willing to ship at extra cost.
