If your tv has an optical out you can connect it to the CXN!

Yeah...got a tv connected to the cxn in the man cave....I want a dac for the living room Geoff...strangely the Hitachi tv in the living room has a digital coax connection rather than an optical...the tv in the man cave is optical...and the tv in the missus' woman cave is optical too

If you're still considering options I have an original Kelvin Labs PDM DAC. Very compact, coaxial input & old school detailed bitstream sound.

How does £45 inclusive sound? It's pretty weighty, so it will be fairly pricey to post.

I've also got an original Cambridge Audio Dacmagic that you can have for £45 inclusive.

IMHO it's a lot better than a Cambridge DAC100.

The CYP ones are very good for tv, start around £40 ish

Thankyou folks for all your suggestions....gone down another route...My pal Vince has sorted me with a Denon avr amp...with built in dac...hadn't thought about this route...and it works for me...cheers Al...
