Brass plaque refurb ?

I have a brass or bronze ( Think it brass ) plaque off one of my boats that could do with re furbishing , any ideas on how / who could do this ? it has a black background with raised lettering

its 5 1/2" x 2" ( Thats the plaque size :) )

to clean it get some household ammonia from the chemist,immerse the plaque for 10 mins,may need longer so keep an eye on it. do this outside as ammonia fumes are awful. once clean decide if you want to leave as is or polish up for a high shine.
