Excellent report Neil.

Interesting that your opinions of the Hart Audio room, the Asparas horn speakers and the Right Note computer audio demonstration closely parallel mine. I'll PM you concerning your take on the Asparas, but again, like me you had reservations concerning their sound but still, I think, recognised their strengths and potential.

I wish I had visited the Music First room when you did! When I visited, nothing was being played, instead the demonstrator was rabbiting on about how wonderful the bloody Revox A77 tape deck was. Forgive the mild expletive, but that's how it came across to me. A shame, as it dented my opinion of Music First; I'm fascinated with the idea of using transformers as voltage step-up 'preamplifiers' and I was keen to hear Tim's (MAD) 'My Clapton' speakers. All to no avail!

What do you think about having saturday hi fi feast in May? The third and the fourth one would be good for us. I will borrow one from Jonathan for the system setup.
