Zeta Tonearm bearing sizes 2 mm 2,4 mm 2,5mm

I've got a preowned Zeta tonearm later type. Probably the previous owner replaced the original ball bearings ( there was 7x 2mm each bearing - vertical- horizontal ) . Did anyone know how many balls had the latest Type? Did anyone know the original ball bearing dimension ?

They use 7 ball bearings and they are 2mm.what makes you think they have been replaced?

On you tube someone posted a Video of an Early Zeta . He showed the ZETA 's nice friction movement on the vertical plane yet not the same could be said for the horizontal plane Although That is my opinion . Indeed I don't know How much tonearm play Zeta wanted for the Horizontal plane. To me too much play in the horizontal plane reduce the tonearm dynamic .

I would't wrong but the stated that the early type used 5 balls 2,5 mm.
It would be great if you confirm to me that the Zeta works properly with 7 balls bearing.

Hi jamie , Ths for your reply . Did the early one used 5 ball bearings ? Did you experience 1,6 mm too ?

the early models use 3 bearings and they are 2.5mm.
you can tell an early one by looking at the back of the square block that the arm tube pivots from,if its an early type using 3 bearings it will have grub screws for locking the bearing cups.
in my opinion the early ones are have better free movement :cool:
