So I now know the history of this equipment, it was designed and made for a “ special client “ back in the late 90’s .
The monitors were made iota and HiQ and they have Dynaudio drivers , there was a mention that they’re D6’s but I can’t find any such speakers.

Real thick speaker cables too !

Hi Mel , hope you are well , I’m afraid I have no idea as I don’t have the required XLR cables , a guy at iota audio said that they were superior to the standard Dynaudio Monitors.
I will update the thread once I have hooked it all up .

For those unfamiliar with Iota and Hi-Q products, they were born out of a love for music and were the ideas and designs of Nigel Brown (Turntable Designer, High End Hi-Fi retailer extraordinaire - ex Chantry Audio)

Along with electronics wizard Mark Hudson

As the owner of the stunning Iota Signature Reference Balanced phono stage, I can only say I've heard many highly regarded phono stages from Audio Research, EAR, Krell etc etc but in sheer sound quality none are a significant step above the Iota and in sheer value for money terms the Iota absolutely blows them all away !
