But I'm in Mrs. Pony's bad books - Got wet and muddy yesterday, and when I put on my now dried out boots this morning, all the little mud pieces out of the chunky soles were scattered across the kitchen floor. I chose to ignore them and just went to work. I get to make the mess, she gets to clean it up - team work!

Yes, the global temperature average has declined for a couple of years and the solar cycle is entering it's predicted eleven year cycle of reduced activity meaning average temperatures are predicted to continue dropping for some time. So much for 'Global Warming'!

Agreed - just a money maker for all the thousands of people involved in the 'climate change' industry. The latest report touted today on the TV and papers will lead to more misery for all of us with ever more taxes on energy and travelling.

Must be windy out, the DAB reception has gone all over the place. Not being the scientfic sort I find it curious how atmospherics affect things like that, I imagine the fairies that carry the signal are probably getting blown about.

I've rather enjoyed the dark, rainy day here, as we've had more than enough sunny days this year to last a lifetime. Great weather too (when it's so dark) for watching movies, which is better than watching them at night, because you're more awake, and so less likely to fall asleep!:D

We'll probably get that in a bit then, usually moves west to east. Don't need to go out again now until the evening so not really bothered. I don't care what the weather does as long as it isn't cold. Once it gets below 4c my house starts to cease to function as an adequate form of shelter.

I don't mind the cold so much, it's the dark from thick cloud day after day, made worse when the clocks change. Then, I look forward to the 21st December, when the days start to get longer again.

Haha... Not. I have 'fond' memories of it sometimes raining constantly, and it never getting properly light, for 4-5 days in a row [you know those dull, damp days where it seems like 5pm in the evening, all day long?] and that was during the spring/summer!:eek::doh:
Back then though, I was too busy working my butt off, to really notice or bother much about the weather.... That's your problem, see... When you're just sitting about, doing hee-haw, you're aware of the weather too much!;)
Hopefully that'll change when you get your new car [the sitting around doing hee-haw bit, that is]. You'll be able to go and visit the 'Glesga mafia':cool:

Winter tyres land with me this week; so will get them fitted before the 2minute snowmageddon we're forecast :lol:

Cold, windy but bright. Just had a couple of heavy showers of Hail.
4c here, doesn't warm up until Sunday and then only a bit.
I reckon we are in for a cold winter myself. We got to pay for that really warm summer.
2c here. Will go to -1 tonight probably.

Cold here but no wind. I noticed the postie was still wearing his shorts though. Must be rock hard.
Crept up to about 5c here. still a gorgeous day. blues sky and sunny.

About 7 degrees here in London today, a bit cold for me but dry and occasional sunshine.
I dont like the cold so autumn / winter not my fave.
The long 'miserable' stretch commences tonight with the clocks going back :(

First frost this morning (that I've seen). 4C at the moment.
back to good old central belt weather... wet and miserable. 4c currently so warmer than usual
Lol - it's the complete opposite here! Bright blue skies and very sunny... Not too cold either, at 6°C.
However, I wanted it to be dark and gloomy, to create a spooky atmosphere for Halloween. So can we swap?:D
