Just knocked these horrific things up and regardless of the evidently lack of use of a spirit level, they have really made a difference. A slice of Acoustilay under the speaker to help too.
Made from left overs from fixing a fence, they've cost me nothing but the improvements are priceless. Tighter bass, less room effect, more focus and because they are a bit taller, the tweeters are at ear level so much better scale too.
I'd better save some cash for a pair of Jamie123's speaker stands. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181004/1bc408d8b99cab41d7ae4f8fdba27d6e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181004/9a19be2f9207d8305edf040d162b38b1.jpg

Some chalk furniture paint and a bit of wax buffing and they will be the essence of shabby chic! :eyebrows:

Nicest pair of Partington Spendnowts I've ever seen. Love the 4x50mm 'floor spikes'. I might have a go at some for my little Celestions.

[emoji1787] lights off. Best way to view them.
To be honest, I'm really surprised at the impact they have had. Just goes to show how much the floor was interfering with the lower frequencies.

Getting hifi things off the floor is always SO worthwhile!
Hopefully the looks haven't raised the ire of anyone else who might be around!:D

A coat of matt black paint would cover any flaws and make them look pukka.

Worst! Worst! rubbish, these are far too professional Oliver, really, you must try harder.
Here's something of my own to get the brain going, suggest you print this and pin it to a mood board if you're serious about going for the title.
Let's start with the basics: Step 1 Ensure they don't look remotely like speaker stands.
You haven't even got that right!!
