WTD: Michell Alecto mono's

looking for a pair of Alecto mono blocs, preferably mk2's

There was / are a set of mk1s for sale on pink fish.

Warning: Not sure if this is common or specific to me or the amps I had but I bought a used pair of these years ago and all was fine until I changed the power lead on one of them. Suddenly I had loads of hum. Looked at the problem more closely and the previous owner had discconected the earth wire in one of the mains plugs. As soon as it was connected the earth hum came back. I never managed to find the cause of the problem so in the end sold them on, never had the problem before or since. Might be worth checking though before you buy.

I saw the mk1 on ebay at £800 and the mk2 on ebay/fanthorpes at £1k, both seem a little high to be honest,
i'll keep searching

the Mk 2 came on at £600 and then went up to a grand , after the mk1 was put on at 800
