i love jazz too; not old but getting there. some jazz gets the majority a bad name in my opinion, and certainly needs to be worked up to. But the greats are almost always good to start with. Ellington, Basie, Gordon, Donaldson etc are all pretty good starting points.
Blues is similar; start off with some real Delta stuff and you can be put off for life; its an acquired taste, but blues, like jazz(from where it came.Blues is the basis of most modern music).. it is a huge field

Lovely album! My favorite piece is “You look good to me”. The bass is quite impressive, to me at least.
