Two nice Moving Coil Step Ups for sale, the Carver MCt and Ortofon T20 MK2

Both of these are sought after and somewhat collectable, at least that is what a net search seems to indicate.

I want £250 for the Carver MCt and as advertised before on here £225 for the Ortofon T20 MK2. Postage at Cost UK/Ireland Only.

Condition of both are very good with just a few tiny marks here and there, see photos. Both supplied with original boxes and instruction booklets.

I suspect the Carver might fair better than the Ortofon, but not having owned a AT33PTG I can't definitively say.

Really surprised the Carver is still here at that I've owned one of these previously and it's a very handy combination of settings. The SUTs in it are nice quality ones by Jensen and last time I checked were about $250 each, plus vat plus shipping from the US, plus the expense to case them up. This is a total bargain and it's in lovely nick too.

Likewise the Ortofon T20 is a classic from the vinyl era proper and probably equivalent to the sort of thing you need to pay Ortofon £600-800 for these days.

All you lot out there with your head amps don't realise what you are missing with quality SUTs like these.

I have used the Carver with a VDH MC10 cart and the Ortofon with an MC2000 mk2, that's it regarding the carts I can talk about. I included the specs so those with carts can do the math and see if these suit.

I bought the Carver SUT from Neil and it’s very very good. I’ve now upgraded to a Vida so the SUT is available again - £195 inc U.K. delivery.
