I wonder who made it. Eagle didn't make their own electronics. Possibly from the same Japanese factory as the Alpha Highgate and Audiotronic components.

It's anybody's guess then, maybe Roland Electronics (Rotel), Nikko, Hitachi or even Mitsubishi or............

I remember their place there. Not far from me.

I've still got a few Eagle speaker drive units, they were made by Coral in Japan in the early seventies. Very nice quality.

That looks early 70s Sony to my eyes.
The left hand control knobs especially.

They were sold through Littlewoods catalogue's, I had the matching integrated amp, probably 1976.

Ah, my first ever tuner, inherited from my father when he upgraded along with his Eagle amplifier and speakers, Technics cassette deck and Hitachi turntable.

Sweet sounding little thing - amusingly it spent the first 15 or so years of its life with the tuning pointer un-illuminated. We were all very surprised when dad switched it on one day and it suddenly lit up!
