Decware HDT - single driver speakers with excellent bass

For sale my Decware HDT speakers these are single driver speakers using a Decware modified Fostex unit, to provide additional bass there are two passive units one in each opposing side, the cabinet construction is fairly complex with triangular compartments with a back facing port. The speakers are highly efficient and being a single driver a very easy load and can be driven by virtually any amplifier from around 3watts upwards valve or transistor, it is a particularly good match for the small low powered tripath amps and valve amps particularly single ended triodes such as 300 b based amps with a high output impeadance, the speakers are very fast with a wide open soundstage, and you will be suprised at the bass response, string double bass is very life-like with excellent tone and extension due to the bass loading of the fostex unit augmented by the two passive units,price £295, collection only from Devon due to size and weight.

What Fostex driver do they use?

the Fostex unit used but is heavily modified by Decware is a Fostex FE206E,
the following is a spec for the decware unit and costs of the drivers alone is$295 a pair plus any import and postage charges, the Decware HDT cost $1695.

I live just south of Exeter, they are not decware's own enclosures but are veneered mdf copies to decwares plans, the units are original decware modified fostex units and the passives are also decwares, the speakers are in good condition, if you provide me with youe email address i will send some pictures, these speakers do sound superb, with excellent imaging, speed and the bass is well extended much better than other single driver speakers due to the excellent cabinet design and the passive units.

Thanks very much for that :) It's just that I've asked on numerous occasions, to no avail, and I thought you were deliberately ignoring me (a massive pet hate of mine!)

There is no ulterior motive, in case you had wondered. We like first names here quite simply to engender a sense of community - in effect that one is interacting with a 'real' person, and not simply a 'faceless entity' behind a computer keyboard. I trust you understand.
