Last year a friend asked me to look at his amp as no longer working.
Took it apart and noticed a few poorly caps so replaced all the caps in the PSU and some on the main power/tone board.
Replaced the blown fuse and plugged it in - stayed on for around 5 seconds then the fuse blew :(

Checked everything and all looked good but told him to buy another one (he had it since new!!)

Should I skip it or have another crack - as in is it worth saving?

Shorted transistor, resistor, cap, dry joint, problem diode, take your pick to look for first but you do need a little more time for a reply.
