Most of us here are somewhere in the UK, Baja. I'm in Wales, as you can see from my location.

You certainly seem to have settled in ok anyway, judging by your number of posts! Nice one :smoking:

I love the subject Marco - have been an audio nut going back 30+ years when I was doing service in the Navy and have never looked back. I find it quite interesting to hear and share the perspective from new friends abroad. My dad was born in Germany, my mom in Sweden and I have lived and worked abroad in Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Singapore, Sumatra and now finally here in Mexico, where I plan to finally set anchor.

I appreciate the forum and allowing me to participate...

You're very welcome :)

I hope this will continue to be one of your favourite haunts!

I like the perspective on hi-fi given by our overseas members.

1965 - Abandoned in a carrier bag outside of Boots the chemists Jamaica Street Glasgow, later taken in by gypsies and subjected to various forms of torture and depravity.

1970 to 73 - Young offender’s institution Govan, Glasgow: serving a 3 year sentence for various misdemeanours including shoving a lit firework up an old age pensioner's bottom.

1973 to 80 (ish) - Abducted by aliens.

1980 (ish) to 1983 - Formed the 'Mental Moodiesburn Young Crew' and amongst various escapades got done for holding up a Post Office with a cap gun whilst in possession of a threatening expression.

1983 to 1990 - Barlinnie prison Glasgow serving a 7 year sentence for, erm, I can't remember...

1990 to 2000 - Ran a successful business selling deep-fried Mars Bars, fried pizzas, and Irn-Bru to the local wasters in Arden, Glasgow.

2000 to 2007 - Dykebar mental home Glasgow - Institutionalised after being caught repeatedly stealing panties from washing lines and making funny faces at policemen.

2007 to present - Contemplating the future in a funny wee house in Wrexham, North Wales. I doubt the straight jacket will ever come off, though... :mental:

But the good news is that even wearing a straight jacket, one can enjoy a day of good tunes on good audio gear...

Once a Glaswegian criminal, always..........., strait-jacket or no.

I agree with thoughts, Baja, but 'Looney Tunes' may be more appropriate with Marco's potted history.

(Always thought there was a bit of the Itie in you, Marco. Maybe you forgot to include that bit about selling duff ice-creams in Sauchiehall Street)
