A house move means my Boulder, Titan, Revel Salon system is going to be relegated to the TV room, so of course it doesn't warrant keeping.

Only 40 amplifiers ever made they are a collectors piece, I haven't seen a set for sale before.
I bought the amps power amps c.5 years ago as an open box but never played.
They wiped the floor with the Boulder power amps I had at the time. One of the quietest power amps ever made, you won't hear a better power amp below £50-£60k, and even above this price point the amps I have auditioned were different rather than better.

They are immaculate in every way, without any scratches, scores or dents. The only issue is that the rear two mesh grills (on both amps) have discoloured from the sunlight (they have gone to a colour between black and brass). Taking the lid off, popping them out and some matt black spray would easily sort this but I don't want to open them up.

They come with all original packaging, boxes, paperwork etc.

£8500 including shipping but I will have a look at reasonable offers.

I would also a swap for a valve preamp of similar cost and quality for my valve system.....WHY?

what else are you thinking of moving on Tim?

Hi Neill
The Salon 2’s after the Titans and then probably the Boulder dac after that....

You have got the one amp and one power supply for sale haven't you. Not 2 of each. Cheers, Vince

Yes they come as a pair but not in the traditional monoblocks style of one amp per speaker.
Here they have put all the noisy power related stuff in one box, then the pure power is fed to the other box that contains all the delicate stuff. You have 4 sets of binding posts so you can run 4 sets of cables to your speakers if you wish.

I've never had the lid off but here's a couple of stock photos, they don't do them justice though as you don' get the scale of the amps. I would say those transformers are the size of a dinner plate...possibly larger....

Thanks for that, I was in a bit of disagreement with another member who thought there was 2 of each. I thought I was right, and have read the reviews of them. I own a Musical Fidelity AMS 35I and I love it. But yours...........that's a different story. I really hope you get the full asking price, I would give it to you in a heart beat, if I had it. As far as I can see, at the asking price, it is a absolute bargain bargain. Glws, Vince.

Hello Tim. My name is Tim as well.

I am quite new here and searched you out from my phone.I joined this forum to say that I am truly interested in your Titan amps.

Is there a way we could chat privately, or is a public conversation ok with you ??

Apparently these were only made as a special order and c.20 only ever made.

That is some world class audio! I know it must hurt you inside to part with these fine examples of engineering. Kudos to the new owner, some things are worth more than money.

You have excellent tastes, sir!

I wish some one would buy these as I am sick of being pissed off every time my lottery numbers don't come up. Seriously.....how are these beauties still for sale. They are being compared with amps that have phone numbers for their price........and they are every bit as good according to the reviewer's sum up. Hopefully I'll be giving you a call on Saturday night when my numbers do come up. Glws

The irony is that this amp will probably still be going strong, long after your lungs have packed up :D

Well, I've put a kidney up for sale and no takers to raise the money for these beaut's. I think I'll pop down to the docks, see what ships are in and just sell my body. For f***s sake some buy these, they are the bargain of the Millenium. You may never get the chance again and No I do not know Tim, wished I did so I could've at least heard them. I love my AMS 35I to bits, but we are talking Porsche Turbo to Buggati Veyron. Lotto numbers tomorrow..........Please

Loads of interest from elsewhere...particularly the States but it’s UK delivery only.

Speaking to John Sampson he says this is the best British amplifier that was, or probably will ever be made....
Apparently they were were built totally without compromise and only by special order. There’s only around 20 in existence.

These are so heavy that they will have to be shipped via pallet delivery, which is fine but quite slow.

I'd prefer to meet up for collection ideally....I'm in N. Ireland but could do a round trip on the boat and meet within c.100 miles of Scottish or Welsh border areas...

Lots more requests to ship outside the U.K......

The only way I’d consider shipping it outside the U.K. would be for the buyer to arrange the shipping and insurance. Of course I would take off the shipping amount I would spend shipping to U.K....

I don't ship overseas. Too dodgy and almost impossible to sort problems if anything goes wrong. I would definitely not accept PayPal from outside UK. It's not unheard of for foreign buyers to tell PayPal that the item is defective and claim their payment back. Leaving you with goods stuck overseas that may or may not ever be seen again.

Yep I lost a nice watch in those exact circumstances....No PayPal sorry...
