Just heard on the Radio that Aretha Franklyn has died after a long battle with cancer, gone but never forgotten

RIP indeed. One of my all-time favourite artists. When they were making the Blues Brothers in 1979 someone suggested her as a guest star and was laughed at because they thought she would never do it. But they contacted her anyway and as it turned out she was desperate for work.
