So, hello to everyone here! This is Christof from Germany.

Been a long time hi-fi junkie (for more than 30 years) and used to work in a record shop and hi-fi store back in the late 80s.

Have been using naim gear for more than 10 years (up and down the escalator including fully fraimed 552/300/SL2 setup) and sold everything some years ago.
Switched back to vintage gear, tubes and vinyl. But want to build up a second system with classic naim CB stuff.
Have been buying and selling hi-fi gear successfully at all major platforms including audio-markt, audiogon, eBay and pinkfishmedia with only good results and 100%
pos. feedbacks including flawless and successful vinyl and CD sales at discogs.
Am no longer interested in digital sources basically and do not own any digital components anymore (apart from a Mu-So in my kitchen).
I don't really care anymore about CDs, DACs (albeit the Chord stuff is great though), DSD, NAS, MQA, Streaming Apps, Audirvana and so on...
I only enjoy vinyl and do own some 6000 titles. Still growing.

Have spent more time over the years with buying and selling hi-fi gear and records than with listening itself probably:rolleyes:

What vintage gear do you use now? We love vintage audio gear here. :)

You are not alone in eschewing digital replay - though if done well digital, IMO, can be as satisfying as analogue reproduction.

But with 6,000 LPs to listen to, that should keep you busy! What are your tastes in music?

Currently I use my fathers TD 125KII which has been serviced and refurbished by Jürg Schopper. Worth every penny and best VFM investment in audio gear I've ever spent. Using Ortofon Quintet Blue, White and Dynavector XX2 MK2 currently with Hashimoto Step Up Transformer and EAR 834p phono amp into McIntosh C40 and 2125. Also have a set of Leben pre/power tube amp and I do own a TMS turntable which is stored away because I don't have the space to set it up properly.
The only digital source I own is my naim Mu-so in the kitchen.

As for the music: I do own a large classic selection (approx. 2000 titles) which I bought from my neighbour years ago, who had been an audiophile all of his life.
But now being in his 80s he had to part with it and was forced to reduce his collection. I took a part of it cause I couldn't resist.
Apart form this I do focus on US Jazz, mostly east cost Jazz. All the van Gelder Hard Bop stuff on labels like, Prestige, BN, Impulse, Contemporary, Riverside etc.
Of course European Jazz from Scandinavia, Germany (SABA, MPS etc) and France. Would love to get British Jazz, but that's tough.
I also love 70s US Jazz Funk and Fusion (CTI, Kudu, Milestone, Mainstream) and of course Soul and Funk, some northern and modern stuff etc.
Have a very broad taste in music. I love Library, Film /TV/ Soundtracks as well as classic alternativ stuff such as Television, Sonic South or the Stooges and do even like modern electronic stuff (Leftfield, Dub, EDM, Trip Hop, Trance, Goa, Drum and Bass etc).
So there is not really a genre or even group I focus on. I just like listening to quality recordings what ever that means.
