Just a note to say Hi to everyone on the forum, although I have frequently looked at this forum site in the past I have only recently joined. I have varied music interests although my main love is jazz in all its forms from early blues to modern funk, my favourite instrument is the bass (acoustic or electric) I particularly like Charlie Mingus, Brian Bromberg, Jay Leonhart, along with Victor Wootan, singers Kari Bremnes and many of the other female scandivanians.
I have various pieces of hifi equipment, like most of us on this forum probably, but I particularly like valves amps, one of my all time favourites is the little Leak Stereo 20, one of the all time classics, I much preferred the sound of the Leak to the often heralded Quad 22. I presently use Tannoy DMT speakers but also like large panel speakers (wish I had more room for panels though), ones I have owned in the past are Magnaplanar and stacked Quads. Sources these days mainly involve cds and computer based files (mainly flac). I am also interested in mountain biking (only wish I had the energy from my youth now sadly long gone).
