I have for sale a pair of Magneplanar SMGCs, one of the most musical of all Maggies. These have been heavily modified by me (and a joiner) along lines suggested by Peter Gunn in the US. See the Maggie Users' website here: http://www.integracoustics.com/MUG/MUG/

These speakers have solid wood frames, the fuse has been removed and an external cross-over has been built using very high quality components, including Mills resistors, Obbligato capacitors and Alpha-core copper foil inductors. The modifications alone cost c.£450 (£300 to the joiner, c.£150 on components)

Sounds is fabulous and highly listenable. Willing to demonstrate in N London. Collection only, or I will deliver (within a reasonable distance)

I am asking £500

Thanks

Adrian

Apologies - bumping this to help someone who seems interested to take a look

If I were looking for a "new" pair of speakers around 500 quid and had a good amplifier to drive them, I would certainly give these a listen.

Thanks. Driven beautifully by a World Audio KEL84 at a get together (in a large room) some years ago. It is why I got the Maggies and did them up. These + KEL84 have been my main system for some years
