Can't wait for Saturday evening when "HE's" back... and "THEY'RE" back on the third episode (DSDL must be shivering with excitement in his fenders at that..), but that's another pile of Mechanoids... :uhho:

That system looks very cool and obviously well used and loved in the best sense. What it's all about really.

Welcome.. :)

At first quick glance I thought those were Megalines, they look similar. (and are also line-souce speakers, co-incidentally).

You can't beat a good line-source loudspeaker . . . Beautiful, to look at and listen to.

It's a great pity that Acoustat are only a speck of their former Glory. Yet another company that has gone down the drain, like Revox and Nakamichi.

Lovely marble & wood equipment table as well. Didn't know Acoustat used to make those. A real piece of furniture unlike most equipment stands these days.

Oh, welcome to AOS

Kris.

Welcome.Nice to see another stat user :). I have a pair of ER Audio ESL III's and also a pair of their top of the range Acorns.A friend is currently building a GM70 direct-coupled monoblock amp for them.

Wow - stunning system. I'd love to hear it.

I bet the smooth sophistication of the Chord amp works really well with the Acoustats.

I've had a few stats and stat hybrids in my time, unbeatable in some ways, but sadly Acoustats are pretty damn rare in the UK and I've not owned any. :(

How come there are so many cables looping their way between the electronics and the speakers in your friend's system?

The 6600 are my mates wish list for dream speakers, he uses a slightly smaller Acoustat at the moment, they sound very good to my ears, funnily enough he uses the same cd player as you as well

Hi Kris the table was built by my friend Jocelyn the same guy that rebuilt my Acoustat the table weighs 180 pounds the granite slab weighs 120 pounds so it makes a very steady 300 pounds table for a very reasonable price,

PS: The only thing my table as from Acoustat is the name plate MrAcoustat

Yes they might be or a problem with photobucket has resulted in data loss.

However I suspect rather than having hundreds of pictures stored on PB he has removed old ones and kept new ones. I keep all mine as they populate forums all over the place but it is a pain and does seem to slow upload to PB by having more photos stored there. Maybe it should not have that effect but with me it seems to.

Several members here have had data issues with PB, though as of yet I haven't...thank fully. So it can happen. I suspect MrAcoustat has just deleted them.

My PB account has well over 600 photos in it

MrAcoustat,I like the system.
Have no had any of these components (except some EC int amp many years ago),but I bet it plays great. And speakers can not even enter into my apartment :) Ceiling is only 2,5m high ;) Anyway,I have a feeling that you're very close to synergy.
Thanks for posting the pictures again.

PS-I was in Canada (BC) 27 years ago.My grandma lived there.Magnificent country.

Hello Mr A

There is a set time period in which posts can be edited and once that expires it expires. Most members just add posts to their threads to show the evolution of their set ups or start a new one.

I have also just noticed that you have as of yet not put your first name into your details. Calling you Mr Acoustat is a bit impersonal for AOS as we like to use first names, makes for a more friendly forum.

Hi Neil,

His name is Andre, as was mentioned on his welcome thread:

http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthread.php?t=5927

But, yes, Andre should've added his name to his profile. I'm sure he'll do that on his next visit :)

Marco.

A very nice system you have there Andre

I've had problems with PhotoBucket in the past but I have since discovered it was down to user error. I decided to reorganize my PB folders one evening without realizing that it would affect any pics I'd posted up onto forums etc. :lolsign:

Hi well said any change in photobucket will affect your photos on the forums this is one of the reasons that i think the EDIT button should always be available this way you could make corrections to your older posts if needed and also save space for the forum.

PS: Please admin think about it ( edit button )
