Mr. Sod, the sod of sods, has payed me a visit. After splashing the cash on a Quad 306 (please no negative waves!), which is due to arrive in a day or two, I wake up with my left ear as bunged up as constipated hamster. Overnight my head's turned into a mucous factory. Please, I don't want to be braced over that stinking inhalation. What is a wimp supposed to do?

(Apologies to young children, animals and those easily offended for the strong language. I hereby fully, and unreservedly. grovel to all in repentance. You know, like they all do on the telly.)

I have just got my hearing back, though it comes and goes based on how many times I cough or sneeze. It could be worse for you, this bug has got into my eyes....:eek: I look like something from a horror film....eye drops are fun. Hope you feel better soon...my bug just gets worse and worse :(

I've been sucking and swallowing all morning, and nothing has popped. Perhaps I should rephrase that …

I sent the butler out for night nurse, vick rub and an adaptor for the sink force pump. That was hours ago. Surely there wasn't some misunderstanding? Oh, wait a minute that's the front door now. It's Benson, back at last. He says his has scoured all the notices in the local telephone boxes but there's only one number that offers both nurses uniforms with S&M. Honestly, no wonder people hire foreigners these days.

Seriously, Neil, that sounds nasty. I wish you well, may all your frequencies and insight be restored ASAP.
