In my job as maintenance and finishing man I have used a lot of products over the past 20 years and discovered a wood polish about six months which I now use on all my Hifi that in my opinion is unbeatable and so I urge you to buy some .

I've been using Fiddes wax with fine wire wool to good effect. Sometimes with medium wire wool if stains etc bad followed by fine wire wool.

But this Howard stuff sounds good. I'll give it a go.

Cheers

I seem to recall the NS-1000/NS-1000M were not gloss finished, but rather a satin appearance.

That’s correct Geoff, they’re still satin believe it or not it’s the way the sunlight has caught them , it’s kind of a deep lustre.

Restor A Finish is big news in the USA. It’s had rave reviews for donkeys. I’ve used it before and it deserves the praise it gets.

Didn't know you could use it to polish a donkey. I wonder if they care. They seem rather indifferent, docile creatures.

If you see a Dnkey’s shiny bits, I’d advise you to run....fast ;) well they do say it’s good for obliterating rings!

Why do people look for silicon free wood restore products?
Cheers

Silicon can cause issues with wood and refinishing later. Especially if wood has a small split or crack where it can cause fish eye.

I might add it's not really bad afaic. Just hast to be used right and if refinishing after then take precautions
