Hi all,

For sale is my Slagle preamp. Expertly built by Ali Tait, I've had this for about 12 months and it's provided sterling service.

I fancy a bit of a change and am looking for an active preamp to see how that fares.

These rarely become available so it really is a huge gamble that I'm going to find something as good for the money but that's how it goes.

This thing is HEAVY so postage won't be cheap.

Thanks guys, it really is very nice. So well made too. Rock solid and the sound is extremely impressive.

Interesting, when I sold this case it had a passive pot in it plus a selector.

Wish I'd seen this a bit earlier.

I didn't think that would hang around for long. If I hadn't already got five pre-amps, I would have had it.

Yes, and nice it was too, however I’d been given a pair of the Slagle AVC’s by Nick so decided to modify this as it’s such a nicely made bit of kit. Was very happy with the result. Deliberately built it so it could be returned to standard easily, but was so much better as an AVC pre.

Have another AVC coming soon using Tribute autoformers, I’m hoping that will be even better. Tribute make some of the best transformers on the planet.

I’m the lucky one that got it and hope it will live up the expectations. I’m running Vishay ladder pot at this moment.

No lol, I was hoping to pick up the pass b1 in the PE section but looks like that may already be sold.
