Lovely little ( bloody heavy ) speakers
I think they’re the mk1 hb2’s .

One has been near a window for a while and the veneer has faded in the light.

They’re the same shade mate ie no fading ! I mean the veneer/wood pattern is completely different on the pair
I take a picture outside tomorrow and you’ll see .
That’s why I assumed they didn’t match , one looks like walnut and the other is like teak ! Unless someone swapped the badge from one ?

Possible or maybe it's just the veneer having more figuring on one just by chance.

Well one sounds lovely but the other has a knackered Audax tweeter [emoji30]

I rescues a pair of these from a skip one Xmas! I produced a thread detailing my exploits. They respond well to recapping.

The one that does work has shocked me , great build quality too.

I have a working pair of these in my loft. One tweeter buggered and were unserviceable for years but a couple of years ago out of the blue Audax came back to serving Joe Public with spares and I was able to buy replacement voice coils -dead easy to fit - up and running again. they also sell replacement tweeters complete and easy to fit the chopped off corner Heybrook face plate, just a few screws. Go for it.
