Have 2 systems, one is solid state, other is vacuum tube. Direct drive S-arm turntable on both systems. Collection of vinyl from early 70's to mid 80's. Enjoy a wide range of music including rock, country, jazz and blues.
Background: Automotive Machinist, Plumber, Electrician, Boiler Operator, Computer Technician.
Recently retired which gives me more time for music enjoyment.

Sounds like an interesting system. I'm sure folks would like to hear more about it, in terms of what the actual components are. Also, if you have time, posting some pics of your system in our Gallery section would be great!

Solid-state: Pioneer PLX-1000, Audio Technica VM760SLC, Denon TU-1500RD, Denon CD Changer, Adcom GFP-815, Adcom GFA-555se, CerwinVega CLS-215, CerwinVega XLS-15S

Vacuum tube: (Pioneer PLX-1000, Audio Technica VM760SLC - borrowed from SS system), Yamaha YP800, Clearaudio - Performer V2 Ebony MM, JD9II Phono Preamplifier Level 1 Upg, JD9II Phono Preamplifier, Marantz 125, Fusion DAC Transport, Fusion 3000 Preamplifier, Jolida Fusion 3502P Power Amplifier. Yamaha NS1000M, SVS Dual SB-2000

I can usually get in 4 hours listening daily. Used to scrutinize my system a lot, these days I just listen and enjoy.
