Why (after you've spent hours getting them just so...:steam:) do speaker stands have to be moved when hoovering?
Surely the base stops any detritus from landing on the carpet?

If your losing the battle...... then cheat.

Use the spike holes to raw bolt them to the floor ;)

120kg floor-standers made of slate soon stop that kind of thing. :eyebrows:

"Don't allow the speakers to move when hoovering! I spent hours getting them into the right position."

This usually works.

Fill the stands with the smallest lead shot and then add fine white sand by tapping the stands till it all settles in to the tippy top adding so much mass she won't be able to lift them.
If that dosen't work steal all your wifes shoes and her bank cards but one ugly missmatched pair, tell her if she ever wants to see them agein she must comply with your list of demands including not touching your speakers when Hoovering.

Let us know how that works for you...

Many years ago my wife once put a potted plant on one of my speakers. She never did it again...

I wondered why you chose the Ushers with their anti-plant pot top profile!

Meant to ask you on Saturday. When are you upgrading to the diamond tweeters? :)

Quite effective, aren't they? :)

It's a bugger, isn't it? You buy top of the range and soon after they go and upgrade it. Lucky I'm so happy with them, then.
