I'm tempted to build some XL's.

Did you hear mk3's before you got your XL's?

Assume the bottom end is fuller.

I had both here at the same time. I liked the 3s but the XL are a big jump up. A fuller, more balanced sound, more fleshed out, but just as transparent and full, ‘proper’ bass. Could be too much in a small room but aside from that there’s no down side imo

My Frugal Horn XL’s are still for sale. I also have a pair of very nice MAOP Mark audio drivers available, in addition to the standard paper drivers.

If John is not interested in the MAOP drivers, I could be depending on price etc.

I have a pair of brand new, still in the box, Alpair 10P's if you are interested? These are the Mark Audio drivers often used in Frugal Horn XL's.

I am just very grateful he let me try them and I now have horn speakers as a result
