Hi,
So I purchased a SME 309 arm for my SL-1210Mk2, with the new Ammonite CNC machined arm board, now to the problem of fitting.
Firstly Hugo from Ammonite, what a real gent, helpful and genuine.
So after his advice I've cut the bottom of the Technics rubber base to get the adjustment needed, to drop the arm down and allow movement of the tonearm cable.
Now after loosely fitting the arm, I find the supplied HTA tool from SME is too long to engage for adjustment.
A call to SME confirmed it's not a Torx key, but closest to it is a T-10, so awaiting a set ordered online.
Has anyone else encountered these problems before and if so any suggestions and advice gratefully received.
Regards Richard.

Yes, exactly the same, what I do is loosen the two bolts and gently push forward or back, no problem.

Yes it's not ideal but I've had no problems with this Heath Robinson approach.
