View Full Version : Hello all
Hi everyone, im a recent convert to the joys of vinyl and im honored to be a new member among such respected peers.
Ive never come across such a friendly forum ( some others appear a little scarey!) and im looking forward to participating as much as i can.
Last september, through the encouragment of a youngster at work( she plays with two turntables! Cant think why) i bought my self a technics 1210 and have since built up a nice collection of plastic, a lot of which are re issue 180gm stuff, Neil Young to Kraftwerk e.t.c.
I have a pretty humble system, a Arcam 192cd a Rotel 1062 integrated and AVI neutron 5 speakers all of which give me many hours of pleasure.
Any how , i hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend. Cheers, colin.

Hi Colin
Welcome to AOS.
With a Technics you are in the right place...plenty of Technics trail blazers here who can help give you advice.
There is no such thing as a humble system on AOS...we all have what ever we have.
It would be nice to see photos of your set up.
Just as a wee bit of AOS house keeping can you add your basic location to that section please.
Regards D S D L
Welcome to AoS, Colin ! :)
Don't be shy, we all have (in a way or another) a "humble" system. ;)
HI Colin and welcome, top end is for toffs, humble is where the real world is at
Thanks for the warm welcome.
I forgot to say i currently reside in London and im hoping to go to the Heathrow for the first time. I imagine most members are show veterans and probably wont attend but im looking foward to it. Might have to leave the credit card at home though!

Hi Colin
Welcome to AOS ' i have what i would call a modest system , and i am looking forward to the London show ' maybe see you there :).
Welcome to AoS Colin.
Don't worry we're not equipment snobs here at all.
I may go to the Heathrow show; I believe there are other AoS members who are intending to go. We warned however, hi-fi shows are full of equipment snobs; most often the distributors!
Enjoy the forum - have fun.
Regards
Hi Colin, welcome to AoS from another modest system owner. But, it's not the size of the wand that matters, it's the magic within, so as long as your gear manages to give you pleasure, that's all that matters, really. (well that's what I tell the wife, anyway!)
I'm sure you will have fun here, enjoy!
