Superb as a CD player - fully balanced with 3 valves per channel. (6 glowers in total). Good as a dac 🙂
Plenty written on these on UK forums. Rare to find 2nd hand. Selling this for a friend who doesn’t ‘forum’.
This one has had the digital coax dac input cable upgraded to a true 75 ohm cable made by MIT (their Exp cable). This was done by the importer Aired Audio. Other than this it is stock bar valve upgrades as below:
All NOS valves
12AX7’s now Motorola types
12AT7’s now Philips MiniWatt
12AU7’s made in Yugoslavia on Telefunken tooling

Details from their website:
Pure tube, no op amps in a DAC that has a transport for CD playing as well. With a fully balanced circuit and six tubes in the signal path, this player will bring definition in clarity without any loss of smoothness. Transparency and air without any sacrifice of richness. Parts are of first grade quality and we have taken the worry out of chip obsolescence; should we upgrade the chips, it will be just a matter of changing the board. Time to see what tubes and a Hi-performance circuit will have on your digital music.
