I bought this from Jake the last year as a standby amp, but need funds. It's quite a rare beast, is big, heavy, class A but doesn't cook the room. It was apparently created as the demo amp for a certain speaker manufacturer - hence the Expolinear badge.
It been driving my Tannoys with ease while the ARC was in the hospital.
It is the simplest of circuits should anything go wrong.
It is heavy so depending where the buyer is I'd need to check postage - someone like UPS would be very expensive.
I'm looking for a very reasonable €275 PayPal gift.

Oooh - I'm tempted, very tempted. But it's a big heavy beast, so carriage will be very expensive.

Go for it Lawrence, it’s a great amp. I’d love another go around with it at some point, so please do bear me in mind if you decide to sell on.
As a point of interest when I originally bought it I did a bit of research re the providence. The seller, Uwe at Hifi studio falkensee in Germany, stated that Expolinear used it to demo their speakers but I couldn’t ever get to the bottom of who actually built it, despite emailing the company. Defo the Hiraga circuit though, I had that much verified by a techie mate of mine.
Reading your posts re the amp on here now Adey, hadn’t spotted them before. Did you do any component tweaking?

Thanks guys, I've actually been affected by missing out on this more than any other piece of gear. Every time Adey posted about it I felt a pang of regret that I missed out on it. So I'm being quite hard about getting it this time, I'm not sure I can go through a second bereavement like this! Plus the changes to the exterior look rather smart I have to say :) I promise that you'll get it after me Jake.

I'd love to try it too, was very tempted to buy, but by the time those on the list already have finished with it I'll probably be retired and the amp will be in need of a re-cap! Anyway I'd like to jump in after Mike.
