hi all -

I have been a member for a while now have not posted any messages. My family are professional classical musicians so I listen to live music every night and often go to live concerts etc. I use my hifi system for enjoyment as well as for my children to analyse performances of outstanding musicians. I have mixed and match many systems together in the past but currently I am using a pair of 300b audion silver knight monoblocs, Wilson benesch act 2 and wadia cd. I don't really take hifi reviews seriously and prefer to judge a music system based on its tonal and sound stage realism.

Hope it makes sense.

kind regards

Philip

I totally agree with your point of view. I think many of us here do.

Hi Philip, welcome to the forum.

I agree that subjective hi-fi reviews are for entertainment purposes only. Some reviewers get that, others don't.

Welcome to AoS Philip,

Agree with you re. equipment reviews: they are useful but in no way definitive. The same holds for the opinions of other music lovers. Everyone puts together a system that suits their ears, and their ears alone.
