Hello Art of sound users.

I am brand new to this forum and thought I would tell you a little about me, my equipment my likes.

I'm 71 live in WA enjoy rock, RB, Blues SRV, Clapton

I like building turntables and have three up and running on my Sansui G9700
1. Thorens TD 124 with saec tonearm and Ortofon bronze
2. Thorens TD 125 with SME 3009 with Shure V15 type V MR
3. Thorens TD 121 (33 only) with Micro Seiki tonearm and goldring 1006

klipsch fortes and a custom speaker built by a friend

The driving force behind joining this forum was to get information on a plinth build for my Denon DP 3000 any help would be greatly appreciated.
My other project is a build for my technics sp 25 turntable that I plan to build with some nice spalted maple
I'm not sure how to post pictures on this but when I figure it out I would be happy to share.

Hi Allen. Welcome to AOS.

I see you like Thorens turntables, they are popular here so you'll be in good company.

I'm sure you can get opinions on your Denon build, try starting a thread in the Analogue Arts section and outline your ideas.

Feel free to join in and chat with everybody, it's a friendly place.

Enjoy the forum,
Geoff.

Welcome to AoS Allen.

Good to see another Thorens enthusiast (I have three TD124/IIs); your TD121 is a pretty rare beast (possibly rarer than the record changing TD224?). Which model is the SAEC arm you are using?

Look forward to seeing your photos when you post them.

Commend your taste in music. :)

Enjoy the Forum
