View Full Version : FS: JBL EX6 Loudspeakers

Hi all.

I have a pair of these nice JBL XE6 speakers in fair condition, the grills have a couple of lugs missing but still hold in place.

They sound very good and are an easy load for any amplifier.

The drivers are of paper construction and are very light, this produces a very fast response, a nice change from some of the heavy plastic coated designs around.

These are just too big for my small lounge.

My first speakers were XE2s I loved them. I also use a DSP-E800 as a back up power amp.

I would except I just bought some 15'' Tannoy DCs to build into massive cabs as my 'final speaker'.

At the price, though, it's hard to resist and I've bought kit off Duncan a few times and he's 100 percent.

Do need some new specs though...

Would think them pretty decent. Hard to beat for that money

He is indeed. If Dunc buys stuff, it's always for good reason, usually because he rates the design and/or spec in some way, or has identified something special/interesting about it that others may have missed.

Therefore, I don't need to have heard these speakers to know they'll be good! I know you've got your Tannoy project on the horizon, but the JBLs would be an interesting alternative to your JM Labs, just to play with until then, and I suspect they'll be better.

Mate, there are a lot worse things you could do with £150... Anyway, if you're tempted, I could pick them up from Duncs and bring them down for you, to remove any hassle with shipping for him or you. Just a thought;)
