Im in the last throws of rebuilding a Lenco Gl75 and need a cartridge, really not sure what to go for ???

Several in my post. The Shure sounds pretty good in a GL75 arm.

I've also got a range of Shure available if you are interested:

M55E with new original stylus. This is the preferred brown body version.
M44-7 with new genuine stylus (you can still buy these thanks to the DJ fraternity). I have at least two of these, brown body and possibly a black but I'll have to check.
M91ED - I think I may have a NOS stylus for this
M95ED - again, I THINK I have an original stylus.

I'll have to price them but I think Tom's will be cheaper!

I'd suggest Tom's M44E if you want period accurate. And it will sound and work well in the Lenco arm.

The M55E is an excellent cartridge and produces EXCELLENT results with a little work. You are in for a real treat if you can stretch to a rebody in a snakewood body (£40) and a simple JICO stylus (£30). This combination produces results not that far behind a 2M black. There is no way in hell I'm selling mine. :eyebrows:

Not sure you’d necessarily get that result in a stock L75 arm ... it’s pretty heavy and with a few exceptions (such as their MD3 stylus) most Jico styli are higher compliance than the originals. Swap the arm for a lighter one and I’m sure you are correct.
