Hi ,

I have a very nice Puresound 2A3 Valve amp for sale , in excellent condition.

I am the second owner and the amp has had very little use in my possession. I bought it from a HiFi Wigwam member.

The output valves are Sovtek and EH 2A3. I upgraded the rectifiers to a pair of TAD GZ34. The circuit was checked last year after I experimented with a vintage pair of RCA 2A3 of which one valve failed. This was found to be just a fault in the valve. One of the original 6SN7 was found to be slightly low and has been replaced.

Sorry but if anyone is interested I would only be willing to sell to someone who is prepared to visit BS5 to inspect , demo and pay cash on collection or bank transfer if all is to their satisfaction. I just don't want the hassle of doing things any other way!

I paid £930 for the amp and fitted a brand new pair of GZ34 and would like to recover as close to £800 of this as possible. I'm just not using it.

I dont have a high end source as I only really listen to radio via a Squeezebox or Chromebook. I have Tannoy Gold and Nightingale speakers so please bear this mind if interested in hearing the amp in action.

Buy with confidence from Rob - I bought my Kans from him a couple of months ago and he's a genuine music buff, definite hifi nut and all round decent bloke :)

I think I was there for nearly two hours as he showed me some of his kit, including this magnificent amp and we just chatted and played music.

Well worth the trip !

Thanks for the kind words. Am very pleased you like the Kans. I am still undecided about selling the 10" Golds and whether or not the 'extra' vibration in the one cab is a fault or a feature!
