Just big enough to make a new SME tonearm mount and possibly a piece where I can make a 65mm circular tonearm mount.

Is this how they make those laminated beams you see in French hypermarket stores??
Not steel framed but laminated thick cross beams the size that normally is done in steel over here ? :)

I would be surprised given the cost of the stuff. You may be thinking of Glulam beams - glued laminate. :)
