Are the OBs the slanted two woofer speakers in the background? They look intriguing...

Yes. Use OB’s myself so looking forward to hearing them.

When are you picking up your new speakers?

All I can say is you're in for a real treat, been at Colin's this weekend for a wee meet with another couple of chaps. The SR's are great speakers, sure you'll love them.

So, you likely have been listening to mine then.

Colin just emailed me to say that Nigel is driving them down as we speak.

I can't wait!

Yes, heard original Edingdales, Mark Two's, your SR's and also Colin's OB's.

The SR's are great, one of the few box speakers I've heard that I'd happily live with.

Quick photo from the weekend, Colin’s ob speakers either side and the Edingdales in between, the left hand speaker is my original version in maple, the MK2 is in the centre with the new SR model on the right, first time that all three versions have been in a room together.

The SR sounds very good indeed, another great job from Colin and Scott. The open baffles are also very nice, first time that I have really listened to baffles in a domestic environment, must say that I was very impressed with their performance.

Quick update, pics to follow.

These speakers have lived up to my every expectation.

They have a very detailed but easy nature to them offering fantastic imaging and tonality.

Very balanced across the spectrum but very dynamic when the medium calls for it.

They look fantastic in my living room and interact with what is a challenging room very well.

Definitely, end game speakers.

I'm surprised they're not mentioned more...

Ive had my MK2 eddies for a few months now- they just get better and better with more hours on them.

I found they really benefit from good speaker wire.

They have surpassed my expectations.

I have swapped back in my 57s/electric beach frugels and my spendor sp1s.....the eddies do everything as well as each speakers strong points with none of the limitations.

An end game speaker is not an exaggeration.

Gary suggested I wire mine diagonally.

I was running speaker cable into the hf terminals and the jumpers in to lf. (shite jumper bars removed!)

Try red speaker wire to hf-jumper to lf.

Black speaker wire to lf-jumper to hf.

Very noticeable improvement....many thanks Gary.

Is it the mark 2 or the SR you have Tony?

Well, going on for a year with these and they have just gone from strength to strength.

To say they are high resolution speakers is an understatement and have revealed every improvement I have made to my set up whilst also managing to be be very musical.

The sound stage they produce has great depth and just the right tonal balance.

So happy I was turned onto these end game speakers and would highly recommend them!

I reckon my pair are just getting better and better...love them to bits.

Just wondered if you had tried putting yours on stone slabs or the like....conventional granite chopping boards are just too small.

Im spikes into a wooden floor through a thick carpet...just wondering as when i heard them at Colins place they were on granite!

I'm using mine with the standard rubber feet supplied by Colin.

Not sure how much better they could possibly sound on spikes into granite but no doubt at some point I will get round to it.

TBH my system with the Edingdales just sounds so focused and right that I'm not to inclined to change anything.

Well, that is apart from the cheap binding posts on my amp which frequently cause the sound to go off until I clean them again...

As for the Edingdales for me they are an end game product :)

Speakers for life Tony, worth making the investment...no more box swapping!
(unless you count stiletto and handbag boxes...) :)

Agreed.
I’ve put some upgrades into my system of late, and the big E’s keep stepping up to the plate.
Suspect I’m very far from hitting their limits...

Tony,
Rest easy, the E’s will laugh at anything you stick in front of em, spikes into carpet included.
Point of buying them is you don’t need to worry about this stuff no more!
