My CD player has been playing up recently - it would struggle to read a CD on initial load. So I took it back to my Audio T (original supplier). Unfortunately it was out of warranty, but they sent it back to Rega nonetheless. It's been with them a week or so, and I've just received it back. A new mechanism was fitted. There was a cost (£85-ish).
I'm really pleased with the result. CDs if anything sound better than I remember. A little more noticeable bass for example. I think the player may have been playing up a little before I got my Bryston DAC, so this is the first time I've heard this combination working properly .... and lovely it is too.
