View Full Version : Help with q-dac
My Q-dac has decided to no longer power up. Is this a case of new power supply needed or is there another possible explanation before splashing the cash? (It's not the fuse in the plug!)
Any suggestions welcomed..alternatively anyone wish to buy a q-dac which does not power up?????:scratch:
Try a cheapo power supply, can get voltage and current printed on your old one (probably)...See if its the supply.
Does the Q-Dac have an internal fuse, aside from the one in the plug I mean.
Thanks for reply
not sure if it is possible to get cheap power supply with appropriate fitting...offhand unsure about fuse question! Not an easy dac to get inside the amateur like me!
Lemme have a rummage about, see what info I can find. :)
No internal fuse, so can score that one off.
Sometimes you get a fuse thats connected to the kettle lead socket on the back of the box, but your Q-Dac doesnt have one of those, so its not that either.
My moneys on either the fuse in the plug (which you checked) or the power supply itself.
Your Q-Dac power supply’s rating is 13.8 volts, 0.5 amps.
This one would work.
