Did they do Japanees Monsters in the UK?

Some Japanese cartoon shows made it here yes (Battle of the Planets etc) and the various Godzilla films showed up on TV from time to time, but not regularly as in Japan or the States.

When I was little there was always a good Monster fight on T.V.
I wish kids today where so easily entertained.
I some times miss simpler days.
