ALL SOLD

The great technobear valve roll has concluded. I have decided which ones suit my amp best and the rest are now up for grabs.

When reading my comments, bear in mind that performance will vary from application to application so what sounds best in my amp may not be the best in yours. That's what makes valve rolling so much fun :)

First up, some new manufacture T.A.D. 12AX7 cryo's. These have been raved about on a few of the forums recently and rightly so. They are very good. It was a close run race between these and the ones I'm keeping. These are full range with deep tight bass, highly resolved treble and a lucid midrange. Soundstage and imaging are pretty good too.

These have been used for about a month. RRP £35 + post. Yours for £25 incl. post (UK). SOLD

Next up, some new manufacture JJ Tesla ECC83S. These have a very nice treble - highly resolved and explicit. If your amp is a bit dull or lacking in highs then these may be just the thing.

I bought these from someone who had bought them new to try and then sold on so say a couple of months use. RRP £16 + post. Yours for £10 incl. post (UK). SOLD

Finally, a pair of Ei ECC83. These came with my Croft amp so are of indeterminate age but it's gonna be a few years. They offer a more traditional valve sound than the ones above. Not the ultimate in bass slam or treble extension but a warm and gorgeous sound that you can sink into for hours.

These were available NOS until recently for around £14 - £16 + post. These are used so yours for £6 incl. post (UK). SOLD

Happy rolling!
