Garrard 401 plinth size

Hi

Just bought a 401 and sent it to Ray at the Classic turntable company for a full service... Given the dimensions of my racks, I'm looking for a plinth around 44cm wide...In your opinion would this be too narrow or doable? Most online appear to be wider. Thanks very much

A 44cm wide plinth for a 401 is doable but tight as long as you limit yourself to a 9"/10" arm. Mine is 50cm but measuring it you could trim it down to 44cm and everything would still fit OK.

Thanks David...If I made it deeper (keeping the narrow width) could a 12" arm be incorporated?
