These really are decent speakers for a small footprint and decidedly un Germanic sounding, engaging and musical £450 is a bit of steal
very last drop £425 these are seriously good

these are seriously good
Seriously good Mr C?
They are superb speakers and at this price there is nothing else that comes even close in sound terms.
What on earth is "Germanic sounding"?
A bit hard, dry and bright sounding (traditionally).
Actually chaps I was feeling Germanic tends to refer to very matter of fact sounds, to which these are neither dry and bright or matter of fact, totally un-German like!
yeah, quite like the look of those..
Tony, please could you expand on "very matter of fact sounds"? Is that a negative or positive description?
Dennis
My perception of very matter of fact sounds would be technically correct, does a lot of traits right, yet has very little ability to draw you into the musical involvement or long term listen-ability of your system
In the past many German speakers have been slight to quite bright, slightly forward, large sound stage, big bass (possibly over the top!), these are far more involving, flow a tune faithfully without artificial sweeteners (naim) and generally get out of the way of listening to music.
Thank you Tony, worryingly I think your descriptions pretty accurately fit my current situation.
We actually have a brand new pair of these speakers still sealed (unopened) in the box new cost was £995
